I have always had a passion for art and science. Having spent nearly 13 years in the technical field of Aerospace Engineering and looking to tap into my creative side, I purchased my first professional grade digital camera – and I was hooked. I ventured into the world of professional photography and I have not looked back. Having a mom that was an art teacher and growing up surrounded by art, I spent countless hours in galleries, museums and in my mom’s art classroom at a young age. Art has played an inseparable role in my photography. I think about the master painter and the direction of light and shadow, composition, mood and feeling, and so many other fundamental aspects of art as I compose each photograph. With my father the engineer and my mother the artist, I have been blessed with the perfect union of art and science.
More About Me
I moved to Palm Beach County nearly 30 years ago from Connecticut and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I currently live in Jupiter near my studio with my husband of twenty-five years (a Florida native), my 19-year old son (sophomore at FSU) and my sweet little daschund dog, Oscar. I absolutely love the warmth and glow of the sunny days of Florida, the beautiful beaches we can go to year-round, moments of reflection, the beautiful scenery and the humidity – yes I do love this and miss it when we travel.
